No need to reinvent the wheel

A Logotype or sign which is based on a working and acceptable idea, has no need to be completely new designed. It can be relaunched, using contemporary and up to date typography, colours and formal arrangement. One important goal, the recognition value, can be maintained by re-designing carefully this way.

Clean cuts

It depends on the results of the design analysis, what kind of re-design can be done. Sometimes as a last resort, the existing design should be extinguished completely. If there are no approaches for a meaningful utilization it is better to re-design from the basis.
